The Joslin General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH.) In 1999, the Joslin GCRC was established as a satellite of the Harvard-Thorndike General Clinical Research Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Joslin GCRC provides a variety of specialized resources for investigator-initiated research protocols. Most of these services are provided to investigators through resources available in our NIH grant.

The Section on Clinical Research is comprised primarily of physicians in the Internal Medicine/Adult Endocrinology Section of the Joslin Clinic who, in addition to having an active clinical practice, are conducting and leading clinical trials aimed at diagnosing, preventing or treating diabetes and its complications.
